Bibi Khanum Mosque [view from the northwest of the pishtaq, or arched portal, and the back of the minaret], December 7-10, 1932

This is a view of the Bibi Khanum Mosque from the northwest of the pishtaq, or arched portal, and the back of the minaret of the Bibi Khanum Mosque. Part of the pishtaq is in ruins; however, the wall closest to the minaret still retains its decorations. The surface of the minaret is decorated with tiles placed in geometric patterns.
