Street in Samarkand with Car, Bibi Khanum Mosque, Dec 7-10, 1932

This is a street view with a car in the foreground, a man on a horse, and people, with the ruins of the Bibi Khanum mosque in the background. The Bibi Khanum Mosque, Samarkand, 1398 to 1405, was built by Timur in memory of his wife, the Great Khanum, or Sarāy-Molk Khanom. This view is of the south dome of the mosque from the southwest.
